Vision and Values

Leek First School Vision and Values.

“Learning for Success”

Leek First School is a happy and caring school and has its community at the heart of everything that it does. It sees the children as individuals first and believes in developing each child as independent learners, equipping them with academic and social skills based on their individual needs, to help them succeed both now and in the future.

Our vision is to have a school that:

  • Has the children at the centre of everything we do
  • Creates an inspiring environment for children to thrive and grow
  • Sees itself as part of the whole Leek community
  • Meets the individual needs of all its children
  • Has high expectations and ambitions for all

Our Values that we develop in all are:

  • Happy in its work and its learning.
  • Independent in our learning
  • Positive in all things. Creating a ‘can do’ culture.
  • Caring, understanding the feelings of others and wanting to help.
  • Respectful of each other, ourselves and the world around.
  • Safe and secure to explore our potential.
  • Inspiring to each other, giving each other encouragement, setting a good example to others.
  • Responsive and willing to listen. Showing that you are willing to go that extra mile to help out others.
  • Inclusive enabling everyone to be treated equally and fairly.
  • Creative using your talents to express original ideas and solve problems.
